Eight hours at the kitchen table. Or forty minutes in the truck.
Testpit turns your test pit into a complete Alberta permit package. Every number traces to the Standard of Practice. Nothing is invented.

What another season of paperwork actually costs you
Move the two sliders to your own numbers. This is the part of the job nobody quotes for and everybody pays for.
It is not only the hours
Submissions coming back for the same three reasons. Work turned down in July because the paperwork is backed up. Two thousand dollars and a week of waiting when you hand it to somebody else. A call about a system from three years ago, and the county shredded its copy.
What changes
The mistakes that bounce a permit stop happening
The systems your soil and site allow come from the Standard. One the site rules out is never offered, so you cannot pick it by mistake.
Every number can be traced
The worksheets show each step, with the clause or table beside the main figures. Nearby wells come up from 453,278 registered records.
You never lose a plan again
Every design you save is kept and can be exported, long after the county has shredded its copy.
Three steps
Enter the property
GPS or legal land description. Registered wells nearby are listed with their distance. You enter the setback distances.
Log the pit
Photograph the face and work down the horizons. Testpit finds the limiting layer from your log.
Get the package
The worksheets run. The package assembles in the order a reviewer reads it, with the application filled in and the owner's manual beside it.

What we promise you
On pay as you go, you pay when the package is produced, never when a design is started, because you only win about half the work you quote.
Every number traces to a clause, and where the code is silent we tell you instead of guessing.
We do not approve anything and we do not promise you a permit.
Your designs are yours, exportable, and they stay yours.
What lands on the reviewer's desk

The permit application
We know what a design actually costs you
It is not the four hours on site. It is the four hours after supper, with a soil log and a calculator, in the middle of the only season you get paid in.
Nobody got into this trade to do that, and the tools this industry has been handed are paper, fillable PDFs and a spreadsheet somebody built in 2009.
Testpit was built by two people who know what a design costs you and what a reviewer looks for.
Jason Gold owns the code content, the soil methodology and the question of whether a package is right. Bruce Baker runs a business building practice in Edmonton and owns the product and the commercial side.
Every calculation traces to the Alberta Private Sewage Systems Standard of Practice 2021 or an AOWMA worksheet.
Or do not touch it at all
Dig the pit you were going to dig, photograph the face, pull the sample and answer a short form on your phone. We build the whole package and send it back inside forty-eight hours of your lab result. You file it under your own certification.
Nobody drives out to your site and bills you for the trip, and you are not waiting for a designer to have a free week.
The price follows the system the soil says you need, not the one you hoped for.
What Testpit does not do
Worth reading before the price.
It does not approve anything
A safety codes officer approves a permit. Testpit prepares the package they read.
It does not guarantee your permit
Anybody who tells you they can guarantee an approval is selling you something.
It does not replace the lab
Code-required samples get taken and sent, the same as always. Your results attach to the package.
It does not put its name on your permit
The design remains the responsibility of the designer who signs it. Every package says the designer reviews and signs the submission.
See a real package before you spend anything
A complete submission package from a real Alberta job, with the address and the owner taken out. Judge it the way a reviewer would.
